INSTRUCTOR COURSE Neurodegeneration: Care and Communication

REGISTRATION CLOSES 10/22/2025:

Teacher training course: Suggested use to train other healthcare professionals, HHAs, CNAs or your own staff that do direct care work with older adults and people living with dementia.

The program includes a curriculum of 30 hours instruction and dementia and brain health education and includes the curriculum for those who plan to be in teaching roles for dementia professionals or students. This course includes CEUs and access to curriculum course content, workbooks, and Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care “Getting to know Dementia” Kits.

Additionally, the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar, recognized by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) will be provided for those who are not already certified. This seminar gives the attendee the ability to send their certificate of completion to the NCCDP to be globally recognized as a Certified Dementia Practitioner and allows the teacher/trainer to practice dementia care with their students. The CDP is required if you plan to teach this course.

If you only need one or the other, you can sign up for them separately. If you are not a teacher already, a letter from your employer is required stating that you are an educator and plan to use this curriculum in your role. I

f you do not need your CDP because you already have it, you will need to provide your CDP license number or certificate if you are not registering for the Seminar.
